“The secret to living is giving.”

In April 2007, Tom ran the London Flora marathon for the designated Childrens charity of the year WellChild

Tom ran the 26.2 mile course in 3 Hours 47 minutes on a day that ended up to be the hottest marathon in history with temperatures reaching up to 25 degrees!

WellChild is the number one charity in the UK dedicated to helping sick children and their families throughout the UK to manage the consequences of serious illness and complex health conditions.

With the help of many friends, family, local business’ and members of the public Tom raised just over £1,500 for WellChild using his Golden Bond place.

Having worked with children in sport for many years, the opportunity to help children who aren’t able to take part in sport due to illness was hugely important.

Tom has since carried on with raising money for his favourite charity when he jumped from 14,000 feet with his Dad in a tandam skydive for WellChild raising just over £500.
